Waterworks On Wheels offers a variety of workshops that can
be customized to meet your needs. Ask us about arranging a
workshop at your location or join us at one of our sites.
Courses offer AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association) and ACE (American
Council on Exercise) Continuing Education Credits. Fees vary.

Water Aerobics 101
Beginner and Intermediate Instructor Level
This six-hour course is designed to teach the beginner or
intermediate level instructor all he/she needs to know to
become a safe and effective aquatic instructor. Lecture will
focus on water principles, basic anatomy, special populations,
contraindicated exercises, choreography for several levels
of intensities, cueing, deck vs. water teaching, strength
training, and much more. In the pool Janice
will take you from the warm-up through the cardiovascular
section of the class. Choreography for a variety of levels
will be demonstrated in the pool, as well as strength training
with a variety of equipment, then stretching. Light lunch
will be provided. A twenty page manual will be distributed.

Cardio Splash
Not
all water aerobic students are created equal. Janice
will show you two 'levels of intensity' for the aerobic portion
of your classes. Ways to change intensity, contraindications,
cueing, transitions and effective leadership are the focus
in this workshop for beginner or intermediate level instructors.

Pump up your veteran students and introduce new students to
water aerobics with creative H2o techniques such as interval
training, circuit training, and water games. Avoid instructor
burn out and keep your students interested for a lifetime

Janice will take you through
a cardiovascular workout that will pump your heart and train

Aqua Strength Training and Conditioning
For water fitness professionals and personal trainers; Learn
the aqua exercise techniques for one on one training or group
exercise. Workshop will provide strength training exercises
with and without (a variety of) equipment for all muscles
of the body, for special populations and for the elite athlete.
You will walk away with several noodle ideas, rubberized equipment,
Aqua Fins, proper barbell usage, and other equipment possibilities.
Personalized Workshops
Any of the above workshops can be modified or catered to your
needs. In addition, a separate workshop altogether may be
designed for your club or organization.
